Shada Teaser - Doctor Who

"Delicate matter, slightly. It's about a book…"
Chris Parsons is happily engrossed in studying post-graduate physics at Cambridge, when one day he finds an old book, sitting on a dusty shelf in an ageing professor's library. Written in a language nobody can read and made of a paper that can't be torn, this is no ordinary book. And when it enters his life, everything changes for young Chris Parsons.

Shada Teaser - Doctor Who

Soon finding himself aboard an invisible space-ship, chased by monsters made of molten rock; aboard an alien prison on a distant planet and attacked by a horde of mind-control zombies. Chris also meets a strange man with a very long scarf who claims he can travel through time and space… in a police box.

It's going to be a busy day for Chris Parsons.

An abandoned Doctor Who classic is brought to life. Starring Tom Baker and written by Douglas Adams, this is “Shada” for a modern audience, with footage upscaled to high definition, and incomplete footage now completed using high-quality animation.

  1. WAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaay better than the original animation! Great job guys!….. but what is there next to animate…. Evil of the Daleks perhaps?

  2. WOO HOO!! This is like anticipating for #ThePowerOfTheDaleks all over again! And it has Tom Baker’s brilliant voice! 😁

  3. “I’m confused.” “So’s the TARDIS.” I know there have been multiple versions of SHADA already, but I’m still looking forward to this one!

  4. There is a good reason to do Shada now, even though there are a million different versions. Unlike the other missing episodes, Shada does not have audio for the missing scenes, so this will provide the missing audio with the original actors. Its probably also a lower cost due to the smaller amount of animation required and a higher return due to the popularity of Tom Baker. It would be good though to get maybe 2 stories a year animated. Surely the remaining Dalek and Cyberman stories are a high priority.

  5. Justin Watson I agree, as much as I want Evil of the Daleks, and The Wheel in Space this is nice

  6. Don’t mind ITM 31; he’s been saying (spamming) basically the exact same thing on nearly every single comment about someone looking forward to this.

  7. Didn’t we already get an animated adaptation of this? I remember watching one that was re-written to star the eighth Doctor.

  8. Terrible animation and a pathetic attempt by the BBC to lure back Classic fans of Doctor Who, who jumped ship when Jodie was cast as the 13th. The Beeb have already sold us Shada on DVD anyway with 30 years in the tardis plus with already have Ian Levine’s animation we don’t need this!

  9. Can we please start animating more of the lost stories: The Highlanders, Marco Polo, The Adbomible Snowmen, most of Patrick Troughton’s run.

  10. This is awesome. I will definitely buy the DVD when it’s available. Insistently there is a fantastic audio book of Shada read by Lalla Ward (Romana). I highly recommend it.
