  1. Jane Goodall is my one true hero. She is honest, dignified, compassionate, rational yet hopeful. She does not give up. I am so grateful to know of such a person. <3

  2. I remember when I was 14 I got the honor to sit with her for about an hour and just talk to her with a couple of my friends !

  3. I’m so lucky and grateful to have met her a few years ago. She is exactly like this in real life, very peaceful and calming. She wrote a lovely dedication in her books to my children and we treasure those words. Truly amazing woman!!

  4. “The least I can do is speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves”- Dr. Jane Goodall
    She’s an absolute legend

  5. Jane Goodall’s story is on the high school English textbook in China, so basically every student knows about her legendary life and tremendous work

  6. Alejandro Solano omg wow. That must have been incredibly amazing. She has been a hero of mine since I was a little girl. I cannot imagine what it would be like to get to meet her and talk to her.

  7. Mat S I completely agree with u. She has been a hero of mine since I was a little girl. And I would watch Chimp Eden all the time and people are still abusing these amazing animals. U should watch some of it. She helped with the rescue and rehabilitation center for them. It’s amazing what they are doing for the chimps.

  8. I’m glad Jimmy gave her the proper respect and dignity she deserves. Sometimes people on other shows get too playful with their guests to the point where they seem to almost insult them. But Jimmy clearly had lots of admiration for Dr. Goodall’s work. Good on him.

  9. Gosh, that’s one of my dreams. Good for you. My professor met her as well. She told the most lovely but heartbreaking story that Dr. Jane Goodall told at the lecture she went to see.

There was deforestation taking place where a community of chimps were residing so they responded by moving the community. Two young chimps who were best pals since they were babies were members of this group. One was injured during their travels. It was a very bad injury. He could go no further. The rest of the group went on. But the best buddy stayed behind with his friend, even brining him food to try to provide him with as much comfort as possible. He stayed until he died and then caught up to the troop. If I remember correctly, it took a full day. He couldn’t let his friend suffer alone.
