  1. FALSE. You most definitely can not read those magazines.

Most humans are obsessed with famous people because they think that celebrities have found a way to beat death. They feel that by clinging to their fame they somehow can beat death too. This is why they get so upset when celebrities die.

Yes, people who need therapy will often do irrational things…like obsess over a celebrity marriage breaking up.

  2. actually the reason why ppl are into hollywood and actors is because they need myths and stories to believe in a higher purpose/power in life. the ancient greek had the olymp- a mountain populated by the gods. the gods had their lives, affairs, feuds and the ppl would watch and learn. they invent the theatre and the movies and films are just the extension of it. wether you read a chapter in the bible or watch a friends episode ; it is the same thing. and thru empathy we cannot not relate to the characters. rich or not famous or not – the fact is that humans/their church/government have always created culture/ stories to attract believers/voters/taxpayers. i totally understand her. and as always- in almost all situations: i feel her and i am ashamed of us all- this time in a humorous way 😉

  3. Why do people live in fantasy worlds? Porn for men, romantic comedies for women. Both destroy proper intimacy and create false templates for the opposite sex.

  4. I think it’s more to do with the fact that if you constantly watch someone or see them on TV, for example, you might want to know more about them. It’s easy to get to know a celebrity so much that you feel part of their lives. Much of this is to do with the fact that most of their lives are on show 24/7. People who might be lonely or don’t have many friends would be vulnerable to this. Hence why the author (authors are notorious loners) fell into Jennifer Aniston’s life so easily.

  5. I just found out the Jen Brad story in 2014. Imagine how bad I felt lol. But gladly I’m getting over it because Jennifer’s happy now. Lol

  6. …I’m pretty sure that people get upset when a celebrity dies because they liked the celebrity’s work, not because they think celebrities have found a way to beat death. That’s just… dumb.
