  1. I’ve created this tutorial really quick this morning, because there are so
    many tutorials on the internet that fail to warn of the obvious dangers
    that the headstand has by nature. As a yoga teacher, i am not willing to
    neglect the obvious risks that my pupils are taking here. If you are okay
    with the risk/reward ratio of the headstand feel free to follow my
    tutorial. It’s for Sirsasana 1, which is the tripod headstand as shown in
    my video. It’s the perfect start for any beginner! Sirsasana 2 is more
    advanced and will follow soon! Stay safe!

  2. Your background voice (when using a microphone setup, I guess) is really
    enjoyable, kinda reminds me in “Löwenzahn” 😀 It’s not that the sound is
    bad when only using the camera, but with the mic it is so good that it
    really makes a difference and it’s a pleasure to listen to it. Also, speed
    and intonation are very good. So in case you ever wondered about how your
    voice sounds to others: it’s great 😉 (apart from the fact that your
    explanations and “scripts” are very well planned)

  3. Hey Marco! You won’t believe it, i’m actually filming and speaking all my
    videos with my old Samsung S3 mobile phone. When i’m doing voiceovers, i’m
    just holding the mobile phone closer to my face. I really need to invest
    into some proper filming tools and some microphone so that the film quality
    gets better. Still, thanks so much for the compliment – Peter Lustig was a
    great guy! – i’m glad you enjoy it!

  4. Hi everybody, I will provide some more tips to increase safety with
    headstand training. Tykato emphasized safety a lot, but these tips should
    help even more:

    1. Do all headstand practice with your back against a wall, so if you ever
    accidentally lose balance and roll backwards, you will not roll at all and
    instead your feet will just hit the wall.

    2. A lot of people THINK they’re putting the crown of their head down on
    the floor flat, but often times, they are craning their neck and putting
    too much of their FOREHEAD or front of their head. This causes them to
    crane their neck. DON’T BE THAT GUY. Tuck your chin in a little and it will
    help the neck be more straight. This is especially important when you
    finally lift your feet with your core.

    3. When you interlace the fingers, overlap the pinky fingers. This is a
    minor thing but it helps make it more comfortable wrap around the head.

    4. The entire time while in this headstand variation, you should be pushing
    the forearms/elbows DOWN into the ground, so much so that anytime I should
    be able to slip a piece of paper under your head. I know tykato says 70% on
    the forearms and 30% on the head, but really, try to make it as close to
    100% as possible.
