I ordered this pillow for a 28h series of flights to South Africa. It was very comfortable and the best neck pillow I’ve ever used. I slept for hours at a time and experienced minimal neck pain despite being crammed in economy class with the seat back in the upright position. I took off one star because I had an issue with the pillow being a little too large and feel that it should not be a one-size-fits-all item.

I just got back from a trip to Hawaii. This product made traveling so much easier. In particular – the fact that you can attach the neck clasp makes the product into a forward leaning pillow. I can lean back in the airplane seat, wrap the neck rest around with the space/opening in back, click the clasp closed, then allow my head to rest FORWARD. The only other solution like that are those huge lap pillows (for example:

So amazing I felt guilty using it in a plane full of uncomfy people! (crimson color)

We recently completed an international move, and knowing I am always the last person to be able to sleep (even a wink) on a plane and get very frustrated because of this watching everyone else snooze away wondering how they do it, I went on a hunt for the ultimate travel pillow. After a week of research I decided upon this one. Seriously, a week! I watched youtube videos, read reviews here on Amazon, asked questions, read blogs. I decided to order this straight from the manufacturer because I needed it FAST and they were willing to ship immediately to me so it would arrive before my flight. I had only a few weeks left to go, and was overseas don’t forget which means mail is very unpredictable.

I am highly skeptical of neck pillows. I have wasted money on them at airport layovers before, and generally end up throwing them away because they’re useless. Recently, I had a 24 hour flight to look forward to (a 7 hour flight, then a 4 hour layover, then another 13 hour flight), with only center seats remaining (i.e., no window to rest my head against, as I usually try to do). Anticipating a nightmare, I decided to buy the Cabeau memory foam pillow from Amazon, because it seemed to be different. When it arrived, I immediately regretted the decision — it looked uncomfortable and I figured it would be like all the other useless pillows. I was $40 poorer, and too lazy return it. On the morning of my flight, the pillow was still lying on my table, and I decided to take it with me as I left for the airport. Might as well give it a go, I thought. I’m glad I did, because it actually works. It is “taller” than other neck pillows, and firmer, providing good support for your neck and head. It also clips together in the front (something that no other neck pillow does) — this ensures that your head doesn’t bob. It fits snugly around your neck without constricting blood flow. I slept for several hours on both flights (I can hardly ever sleep on planes), and had no neck pain at all by the end of the trip — which was a first. The pillow also folds compactly into the carry case when not in use. I highly recommend it, even for skeptics.

I’m a review freak. I just am. I will read the heck out of reviews all over the web and make an informed decision afterwards. I rely heavily on reviews from others and therefore always try to write informative reviews that I think will help others make their own informed decision.
